A P V

A lot of planning needs to be done in order to make such an exchange possible. That's why an organised weekend before the exchange took place in the Netherlands, where some of the facilitators, leaders and trainers met to discuss the exchange. The APV (Advanced Planning Visit) took place from the 5th of July to the 8th.

There were attendees - participants, trainers and group leaders - from all three countries: Zsuzsanna and Rebekka from Hungary; Timi and Irma from Romania; and Ina, Zsuzsanna, Sietse, Timon, Rianne, Aafke, Paul, Margriet and Cilia from the Netherlands. The 5th of July was travel day for the Hungarian and Romanian attendees, after which they were warmly welcomed by the Dutch attendees and brought to their accommodation in Lunteren, TopParken. In the evening, we had dinner at Lotus, which was a restaurant to be visited during the exchange as well.

The next day was meeting day, during which the programme was discussed, who was going to do what, new plans made, other plans altered, etc. After the first meeting in the morning, the attendees took a look at the Houten Hes, where the exchange would take place in the Netherlands. A lunch was later provided at the neighbouring restaurant De Lunterse Boer. In the afternoon, another meeting took place about the programme and the participants of the exchange. We got to know each other more and had overall a nice meeting day. The day ended with a BBQ at the home of one of the facilitators, during which future Dutch participants also joined.

Sunday the 7th started with a visit to the local church which was to be visited during the exchange as well. The paintings made during the Painting Workshop about Entrepreneurship and Ecology were to be shown at that same church during the Exchange. After church, all the attendees were headed to Amsterdam by train. Amsterdam would be an outing day during the exchange as well. During this day, it was planned that the participants would fish for plastic with the organisation Plastic Whale, take a look in the NEMO Science Museum and have dinner at Vapiano. During the APV, we visited the same locations as planned and ended our day at Vapiano. After dinner, all the attendees went back to Lunteren.

The 8th of July, all the Hungarian and Romanian attendees went home, getting excited for the exchange!
