Day 3 - Amsterdam
It could be argued that one of the best ways to get to know the Dutch culture is to visit Amsterdam, so that is what we did!
We started our day with another Secret Friend round in the bus on the way to our first activity of the day: plastic fishing. We joined the Plastic Whale Organisation in Amsterdam, an organisation that strives to clean the waters from plastic, and fished plastic in small boats made from recycled plastic well. This activity was a good contribution to Plastic Free July. Apart from the heavy rain that occurred during this activity, we had a lot of fun (also because of a small visit to the Tony Chocoloney shop).
The next stop was the NEMO Science Museum, where we could roam around and learn more about different fields of science such as biology, physics and chemistry.
After NEMO, the participants had some free time to roam in the city and play a Crazy 88 scavenger hunt made specially for this exchange! Everyone had a lot of fun exploring the old city centre and luckely the weather eventually cleared up. We ended our day in Amsterdam with a nice pizza and pasta dinner.
On the way back to Lunteren we all sang Dutch, Hungarian and Romanian songs together in the bus.
