Day 5 - Fantastic Ecosystems and how to Build Them
As it was a Sunday today, we all went to the local church together. We walked there instead of with the bus to reduce our emissions (and it was also hard to park the bus in that street...). During the service, our paintings from the Painting Workshop the day before were showcased. The service was adjusted in such a way that the Hungarian and Romanian participamts could also follow and sing with.
After having a talk and some coffee after the service (and making some extra Killer Game kills), the participants walked back to the Houten Hes, where they had a short break before the next activity, which was the Ecosystems Workshop created by Sietse.
During this workshop, the trainer gave a presentation about Ecosystems: what they include, how they work and showed some examples. The first assignment for the participants was to create their own stable (!) Ecosystem. This assignment was a succes, as these Ecosystems turned out to be pretty good! These were used during the next assignment as well, which was to apply a certain disastrous event that would alter or disturb the ecosystem. All the participants were involved during this assigment, and it is safe to say that they learned something.
After a coffee break, it was time for some relaxation in the form of a Theater Workshop, again led by Sietse. This workshop included some games such as mirroring each other, telling a story with one word per participant and a game in which the participants had to stand in the correct groups as fast as they can. Everyone seemed to forget their tiredness and had a good time.
After a Family Group session, there was a dinner competition. However, this turned out to be less of a competition and more about relaxing and playing games. Irma and Enikö have done an amazing job by preparing the extensive dinner with some help from the participants.
At the end of the day, we had another cultural evening, this time including food from Hungary and Romania. There were some games, lots of talking and ended with another great party!
